Someone told me on another forum I should not even be in a relationship because I have anxiety. It honestly made me feel horrible. I thought about it and if it wasn't for my boyfriend, I would have no one other than my mother. All my friends stopped coming around once I stopped going out. So in that... I think I may put pressure on him. Maybe I am locking him down. Thoughts?

I think if he felt trapped or locked down, he would leave the situation?

I think your boyfriend loves you very much and he wants to make sure you are ok.

Anxiety is an illness, just like tonsillitis. People wouldn't say you shouldn't be in a relationship with him for physical reasons, so why do people feel the need to say things about mental illness?

I think having a loved one around definitely helps with my anxiety levels, my kids keep me fairly grounded when they are around and when they are in bed I am much, much worse.
