The providers (“we”, “us”, “our”) operate this website and its associated services (“the Service”).
User-generated content
The Service allows users to submit and interact with user-generated content. Content submitted to the Service reflects the views of its author only. Users are responsible for the content they submit and for any consequences arising from it.
We operate the Service in line with UK law and take reasonable and proportionate steps to identify, review, and act on illegal or harmful content when it is reported to us or otherwise becomes known to us.
Age requirement
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly permit users under the age of 18 to register or use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Accounts found to be operated by users under 18 may be removed.
Content review and moderation
All content submitted to the Service may be reviewed by staff or moderators. Content may also be processed by third-party services, including spam-prevention or security services. Do not submit content that you consider private or confidential.
We may remove, edit, restrict, or otherwise take action on content or accounts at any time where we believe it is necessary to protect users, comply with the law, or enforce these terms.
Prohibited content
You agree not to use the Service to submit, share, or link to content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, harassing, misleading, spam-like, sexually explicit, or otherwise likely to cause harm. This includes content that infringes copyright, violates privacy, encourages illegal activity, or places others at risk.
Illegal content is not permitted on the Service. Where such content is identified, we will act promptly in accordance with our legal obligations.
Reporting content
Users may report content they believe to be illegal, harmful, or in breach of these terms using the reporting tools provided or by contacting the moderation team. Reports are reviewed as promptly as reasonably possible, and appropriate action may be taken, including content removal or account restrictions.
Mental health and safety
Help Minds Heal is a peer-support community and is not a substitute for professional medical, therapeutic, or crisis support. Content indicating an immediate risk of harm to self or others may be escalated for moderation review. In such cases, we may take protective action and provide signposting to external support services where appropriate.
Account termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time where we believe it is necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, or comply with legal obligations.
License to content
By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the operation of the Service. You retain copyright in your content.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Acceptance
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. By registering or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you wish to close your account, please contact us.
